When a fire occurs, the smoke detectors will alert you and you have a little less than three minutes to get out of you home (exit your house in the as fast way possible.) In your home, it is important to have a fire emergency kit. This kit will protect you from fires. It should contain a first aid kit incase someone gets injured. It should have some emergency food and water incase none of these resources are available. Make sure you also create a fire emergency escape plan incase a fire occurs.

IF A FIRE OCCURS..
If a fire occurs, there are a few simple steps to be executed. First, get as far as possible from the fire. If you are able to escape your home, escape and stay far away. Next, call for help. The standard number to call is 911. WARNING-DO NOT ATTEMPT TO EXTINGUISH THE FLAMES. THIS MAY BE DANGEROUS AND CAN GET YOU KILLED.
